Hello everyone, this is a very exciting week for us at Terragon Gaming. We have a few announcements to make!
Growing the Team
First and foremost we are welcoming a new member to the team! We would like everyone to welcome Dan! A passionate and creative person, he has been in a touring band, has streamed on Twitch, and currently creates videos on YouTube. On top of all that he has done minor wood working and a ton of wood burning in the past!
Our goal is to bring in talented and passionate individuals and help them GROW. We are not looking for button pushers or people who are just here to punch the clock.
Dan is currently training and learning the Coaster process, and will be taking full control of it's production once he is fully trained! This also means Dan will be able to help us with Kickstarter fulfillment once we get to that stage! Making sure that your Terragons get to you as soon as possible!
Meeting with the Toolmaker
Everything has been signed and paid for which continues moving to keep Terragon Terrain moving forward. We met in person with our toolmaker (which doesn't happen often!) to discuss with him our expectations and stress our required level of quality. It was nice to shake hands with the man making the tool, which makes signing the check for $56,000 a little bit easier.
We have scheduled a trip to meet them and tour their shop, and maybe we can snag a photo or two... or maybe even a video to share with you all!
TNT going forward.
As of now we are entering the waiting period until the mold arrives. We have decided to begin a release schedule of one TNT at the end of each month moving forward. We want to avoid spamming everyone's inbox with the same update each week. As well this will give Corey and Bryson more time to work on processes for tile assembly, along with other aspects of the business to ensure prompt fulfillment when the time arrives.
Do not fret, we will be frequently checking the Kickstarter and our inboxes for messages. We are not going anywhere. As well if we have any big updates or changes we will certainly not wait until the end of the month to share them.

This will be a quick update. We met with our manufacturer last night to officially provide all down payments and process initial PO's for custom colors, sample runs of tiles, and the initial 1/3rd of the cost of the mold!
This means that once everything arrives we can hit the ground running! No waiting to process any payments or work out production details. As soon as the mold arrives it will be making tiles. Which is a very exciting prospect. As always we are pushing to close up the timeline to fulfillment as much as we can and will keep everyone informed on any changes.
We hope this past weekend was good for everyone in the US celebrating the 4th of July!

TNT #23, Updates to the Timeline

Hi everybody! We finally have all timelines and finalized pricing for all of the injection molding.
Timeline
We know the big thing everyone has been eager to hear is the updated timeline. We will break that down first along with detailed information on the numbers.
The Mold
Our updated projection of delivery of the final tooling is currently at 14-16 weeks. This timeline has been impacted by material availability and current workload. Domestic manufacturing is scrambling right now and no sector has gone untouched. Be it prices or availability of materials; to the sheer amount of work flooding in. This one is totally out of our hands. With the tooling ordered we are at the mercy of the toolmaker's timeline.
Colors
The lead time of the custom colors is not expected to impact the final delivery lead time.
Manufacturing Lead time
The current estimate to manufacture all the tiles is 6-7 weeks based on our current test mold. Our current mold can produce 4,500 tiles in a week. The final tooling makes four times the amount of tiles with each run. With the total number of tiles needed for fulfillment we can estimate the lead time. The good news is since our manufacturer is local we do not have to wait for production to complete to start assembly.
Assembly
Based on testing with sample tiles we are coming in with a rough estimate of 5 to 6 weeks to complete fulfillment. We intend to go in order by backer number at this time. But assembly is a large unknown as the scale of assembling over 150,000 Terragons is very hard to test with a few dozen sample parts. But we are always improving the assembly process to improve timeline.
Timeline Summary
Based on these lead times and factors we are hoping to begin fulfillment in January. We are doing everything we can to improve timelines. But as stated before we really are at the mercy of other companies timelines in a COVID effected market.
We want to thank everyone for their continued support and kind messages. While our hands are tied with the mold and manufacturing lead times please know we are always pushing to get you the best possible Terragon Tiles as soon as we can.

This week we want to share the first sample run of our Ice tiles. We are excited to get these tiles made in the final material and cannot be happier with the results! We wanted to make something that truly felt like ice. The see through nature of the material provides and awesome level of versatility.
Final Ice Tile Color
A mysterious frozen over grassy plane? Easy. Just put the ice tiles over grass and your good to go! Winter terrain setting? Use ice with the combination of water and snow tiles to build a true tundra! You can even use the ice tiles to denote areas of effect for spells, which is a personal favorite on our tables.
Kickstarter Delivery Estimate
We are anxiously waiting an estimate from our injection molder on delivery dates for the Kickstarter tiles. Our injection molder is even making a special trip out to meet with the mold maker to try to push things along and nail down a timeline. We will share an updated timeline as soon as we hear back.
Terragon Coasters
We want to thank all of our backers who have supported us yet again by ordering our new product! The first wave of orders has been shipped out and we cannot wait for you to get them in your hands.

Terragon Gaming has not been idle while waiting for our production tool. We have developed an exciting new product line launching...NOW on our shiny new website!
Wait,what about the Kickstarter?
Currently, we are awaiting the arrival of our production tooling. This means the equipment we have remains mostly dormant as bills continue to mount. Though unfortunate, this presents an opportunity since the guys have had more time to commit to product development in an effort to offset costs.
Terragon Gaming is more than just our Terrain and consists of a team larger than just Bryson and Corey. For production of this new product line we will be hiring new talent. This will ensure that our coasters do not negatively impact the lead time of the Kickstarter in any way. In fact, these new hires will help us expedite Kickstarter fulfillment when the time arrives.
